Shredder Oil
Shredder oil and oiling your paper shredder regularly is a very important
part of basic shredder maintenance.
If you are going to investing in a shredder or have already then you
need to oil your shredder often in order to keep it running efficiently.
Shredder oil helps to keep the cutting heads running
smoothly. Shredder oil keeps your machine running at
peak performance; it also will help extend the life of your shredder.

Excessive amount of shredder oil can actually damage your shredder
so you will want to be cautious when it comes to this important maintenance
process. Don’t worry oiling your shredding machine is easy.
If you are shredding only a small quantity of paper (50 sheets a week),
then you only need to oil the shredder each time you empty the wastebasket
or at a minimum - twice a month.
If you are an owner of a crosscut shredder you will require more regular
oiling however.
If you are shredding a large quantity of paper documents say hundreds
of sheets a day, then you should as rule of thumb oil your shredder
after 30 minutes of usage or after you empty the shredder bag.
Here is how you oil your shredder
Using shredder oil supplied by us spread a small amount of shredder
oil on one piece of paper in a zig zag motion. Make sure to spread the
shredder oil over the entire sheet but take care not to saturate the
paper in oil. Once you have done this you just need to turn on the shredder
and feed the paper that has the oil into the shredder.
It is very important that you use only the brand of shredder
oil that matches your paper shredder as using any other lubricant
or oil you could void the manufacturer's warranty
